1st Birthday - Anthony Gabriel Bernardo
Here we are still trying to catch up in our blog postings - just a couple more events from 2008 and then we're done. Patience. Patience. Patience. Thanks y' all.
For 2009, we'll post the more recent events and catch up on earlier ones. Here's a follow up on the pre-birthday pictorial of Gab where he was giggling the entire time.
Here he is still at it.
Good morning, err, good evening, Gab. Time to prepare for the Oscars J
This clapper says it all for party theme.
Getting ready.
The red carpet entrance (or more like to the side of it) J.
On to the paparazzi wall.
Gab is turning one, take 1! Lights. Camera...
Action.
With his leading ladies.
Delighted [fans ;-) and] friends.
Highlights of the glamorous night.
Daddy giving the acceptance speech (Gab still can't talk much- hahahaha) and expressing gratitude for a well-attended celebration.
More paparazzi photos here J
Pre-Event Pictorial - Gab
Cuteness to the superlative degree :)
Here are photos that can be used for a diaper ad.
True enough, Kath (Gab's mom) mentioned that Gab was featured in a baby magazine. We told her he could easily make it to being a cover model.
Gab made it very easy for us to do this shoot. He was always smiling from ear to ear. It might have helped that we entertained him with his favorite toys but, it was really a smooth pictorial from start to finish as he is such a happy kiddo.
One last giggle...

Interview Shoot - Richard Gutierrez
This was an interview shoot and I had the not-so-common chance to come up close and personal with one of the most popular actors of this generation. Like any would-be star-struck fan I looked forward to this shoot...if only for bragging rights. J
Conflicting schedules made us run, almost literally, to another location to get this done. We barged into Cafe Juanita in Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig and the S Magazine Editorial Team carried out the interview.
Richard Gutierrez shared about the privilege of being the lead star of Zorro, the GMA-7 television series, his stay in Bagac, Bataan where the series was shot, and answered some questions about his career plans, the challenges of being one of the top young actors in the Philippines today, and some trivial information about himself.
His parents' advice in terms of handling fame and success? - Don't let it get to your head.
Is he as handsome as fans think he is? But, of course. It's an almost perfect mix of Mr. Eddie Gutierrez's & Ms. Annabelle Rama's features. When your subject looks THIS good - how can a photographer make a mistake?
We took a shot of Richard with mom, Ms. Annabelle Rama, and niece Venice, daughter of Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez, before the interview shoot ended. Photos like this make you realize that good looks can really be inherited.

Baptism & 1st Birthday - Jessie Marguerite De Guzman
A post from one of our events in 2008. Slowly catching up :-)
Jessie Marguerite...another baby name which we assume came from the names of her parents - Jessie and Marjorie Lynn. They fondly call her Bonita, which is Spanish for pretty. You look at this little girl and you’ll say, “Oo nga naman.”
Jessie [the dad – not Bonita :-)] was the one who called and booked us for this event. It’s very rare that we get to discuss event details with fathers of the celebrants (who almost always just ask for the rate and then leave it to the moms for details. hahaha) so this was a welcome change.
A family shot taken at the reception.
This was a very simple event - no program and not a lot of details to shoot, with most of the shots ending up paparazzi style with Bonita in the spotlight. It also helped a lot that she was a kid with a thousand expressions, which had us capturing shots like these:
"Huh? I won? as in? really?"
"Direk! Panalo tayo! Atin ‘to!"
"I would like to thank the following...my mother...my father... uhmm, bale, ilan na yun?"
"Totoo kayang pera itong prize ko?"
A few close friends and family members made this baptism + 1st birthday an intimate one.

Baptism - Kyle Gabriel Sevilla
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
Sounds familiar?
Sesame Street, Disney and Barney are usually fave kiddie party themes. Kyle’s baptism had a unique one – The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This is not exactly kid-stuff, narrating profound lessons about life and human nature but it was nice to see such a different theme (this book is one of my favorite reads).
Kyle’s mother Pia is based overseas, and booking for this event was done through Kathleen Dela Merced of Hi5 Parties.
Talk about client confidence (something we really appreciate about Pia). She was trying to book our services for Kyle’s 1st birthday celebration although at that time she hasn't seen all the photos from the baptism as they were due to be sent by a cousin together with the video. But here we are, communicating via email about the possibility of booking our services in December.
We sent her some straight-from-the-cam photos just so she’d have a glimpse of the kind of shots taken. About a week after, she was already talking about completing her suppliers for Kyle’s birthday. Now, that’s planning ahead :)
Some photos taken at the church.
The ever creative Kathleen transformed the venue - The Filipinas Heritage Library - into the mysterious world of The Little Prince.
Yummy desserts.
Here's another baby who could easily make it to a baby magazine cover :-)
Kyle's killer smile :-)
With Mommy Pia.

Random candids.
